 Dear Family, Friends and Associates of Howard Homes: Happy spring! Howard Homes is once again fundraising for the National Brain Tumor Society and Accelerate Brain Cancer Cure. As in previous years we will congregate in Washington, DC on Sunday, May 1st for the 14th Annual Race for Hope 5K Run/Walk. This is the 8th year our family and company have participated in the event and we are hoping to make this the biggest and best race ever! And, for the third year in a row, I am going to run the 5K race instead of walk. To finish on my feet is always my goal. I am happy to report my health is great and I have not had any new tumors since my Gamma Knife surgery in August 2005! In fact, my checkups are now once a year instead of every six months. I will not miss the extra head first trip into the MRI machine. I continue to be very fortunate. Other people are not as fortunate. Everyday people’s lives are turned upside down by the diagnosis of a brain tumor. While I realize we are all facing challenging economic times, please consider helping us in our fight against brain tumors. When you make a tax deductible donation (no matter how big or small) 100% of the proceeds go toward the treatment and cure of brain tumors. This year there are several ways YOU can make a difference: 1. You may make a monetary donation and/or participate in the event by joining our team. If you are unable to join us on race day in Washington, DC you can still register as a Virtual Runner, and help us raise additional donations. Our goal is to register more than 30 participants for team Howard Homes and make 2011 our biggest race year yet. We hope that some of you will reach out to your friends and family to participate, either physically or financially, in this year’s race. Every dollar counts and there is no such thing as a small donation. The dollars collected through this race and similar events, have transformed the lives of so many brain tumor patients and their families. 2.
